Mahé

Mahé

Eden Island is linked to Mahé by a bridge. Mahé is one of the 115 islands of the Seychelles, the largest, with its capital Victoria. It is 27 km long.

Beaches

Mahé has 36 beaches, each one more beautiful than the next. You will find deserted beaches, more lively beaches, beaches overlooking the lagoon, others directly overlooking the Indian Ocean. Difficult not to find happiness there!

Our favorite, little known, Police Bay ... 🤫

Victoria

The capital of the Seychelles, Victoria is located in the northeast of the island. The main assets of the city are the bell tower, the botanical garden, the national museum, the natural history museum and the market.

Marielle and I particularly adore going to the market on Saturday morning, the one where you will feel immersed in Seychellois life or go to mix with the Seychellois at the Mass St Paul's Angelican Cathedral.

A very good restaurant where you can taste different local dishes, Marie-Antoinette.

A break in the green? You can discover a number of hiking trails in Mahé and go for a walk in the forest in a very rich and exuberant vegetation.

Others islands ?

Want to go and discover islands other than Mahé? You will never be able to finish the tour! Near Mahé, a few tens of minutes by boat from Mahé, you will find the Saint Anne park with its islands and in particular the Moyenne Island (top photo) with its roaming turtles.
Fancy a Jurassic Park setting, go to Silhouette Island (bottom photo). A little further over a day or more, you can go and explore Praslin, La Digue, etc.
